Shaker Bookmarkers - Doodles Paper Playgound

Shaker Bookmarks

I used a die from Craftin Desert Divas for these bookmarks.
It made making these very easy!

I started by cutting all the circles that I needed.

I used one circle to create the top frame.

The circle die also cuts the perfect piece of acetate!
I attached it to the back of my frame with some score tape.

I added a double layer of foam and filled the shaker well with sequins and added placed the back piece to complete the shaker.

So to add my mini shaker to a paperclip I use scor tape.
I put score tape on the back of the shaker and on the backing piece.

Remove the backing on the the scor tape and place your paper clip then place the backing piece.

The shaker was a little plain so I added this cute little bear from my colored stash.

I made a second shaker, I prefer my bookmarks to not to stick out the top
so this one will actually sit inside my book.

For this card I used the Breakfast at Tiffy's
from Doodles Paper Playgrounds.

I love brown and this shade of blue together, it is one of my favorite combos!
I like that this blend has like 3 different sizes of pearls in it and some little diamonds.

Paris Dream - Beth Duff Designs

Paris Dream

For this card I used the Adventures Abroad - Paris
set from Beth Duff Designs.

To be honest I didn't really know how this card was going to turn out when I started it but I love how is came out!

I colored my images with copic markers.

Created a pretty pink watercolor wash background. .

Added my images. . .

And used a die cut for my sentiment,
I used my wink of Stella clear marker on this cut so it is all sparkly!
Which you can actually kinda see in the photo!

I also used a die and added two strands of fairy lights. . .
I added little drops of glossy accents so the lights look like little bulbs.

Flamingo Birthday - Doodles Paper Playgrounds

Flamingo Birthday

As soon as I saw this Sparkle Blend I knew that I would use these stamps from Strawberry Jude Stamps!

I stamped my flamingos on some pink paper, it made the coloring really easy.
I used a pink colored pencil to color in the darker areas and blended it out with gamsol.
I used grey marker on their legs.

For the shaker I used my fuse tool. I took a fusing envelope and
created a few section using a Lawn Fawn border die as my guide.
I put my sequins in the middle pocket then used a Lawn Fawn die as my guide
to trim my shaker down so that it would fit on the inside of my card.

I added my flamingos and a banner with a happy birthday sentiment on it.

So behind these items is how I am going to attach the shaker to the inside of my card.
I added some scor tape to the back of the images so that it would not be visible from the front!

To finish the inside I added some green paper to the side flaps.

On the font I added pink paper and use a matching mini stamp to kind of create my own patterned paper. I stamped the flamingos in three shades of pink.

I added a few shapes and one more flamingo to the belt.

I like how this card turned out. . .
I think if I were to do this again I would put sequins in all of the shaker pockets.

You can find the dimensions that I followed for this card on my other blog, here.

For this card I used the Flamingo Topic
from Doodles Paper Playgrounds.

The best part about this blend is that it has little flamingos in it!!
Totally Cute!!! I also love the combo of pink and green , it is one of my favorites!

I Like the Way You Roll - Beth Duff Designs

I Like the Way You Roll

I love this card!! It is my second attempt at a gate fold card with a belt.
It was actually pretty easy and I love the way that it looks!

So for this card I used a set called Roll with Me from Beth Duff Designs
This is a brand new company,  her first release was in April!
I am on her design team and I love it! Her stamps are super cute!

I started by stamping the images out with copic friendly ink and coloring them up.
I then used my SNC to cut all the images out.

Next I cut all the pieces I would need for this card.
Here are the dimensions that I followed.
The only thing I did different was with the belt.
These dimensions give you a very loose fitting belt and I wanted mine to be a bit more snug.
I cut my belt at 9.5 and scored one end at 2.5 and the other at 2 5/8.

I wanted to put layers on the inside of the card so I die cut the red panel to use as an inner panel.

First I decorated my inner panel.
I stamped one of the sentiments form the stamp set. . . Hard choice, They are all super cute!

Than I added all my little sushi guys, They are so cute!

While that glue was drying I added the front side panels and decorated the belt...
The belt is my favorite part of this card!!!

I added the inner panel to the card base.
I wrapped my belt on and used some scor tape to tape it closed.
I added a few black matte and red sequins.

Complete!

I really love how this card turned out and cannot wait to make another one!
Next time I am going to try to do more layers on the front panels
and add more decor to the inner side panels.

I will be entering this card in the following challenge:
