I Can't Get Enough Of You

I Can't Get Enough Of You

I decided to try the eclipse cards but I just used a Lawn Fawn XOXO die that I had.

I started by using a pearl embossing powder on my watercolor panel.
Next I colored the panel with some distress oxides.
I used some perfect pearl water and flicked it on the panel.

I trimmed my panel down a size and used my XOXO die on the panel and on a piece of black card stock, the same that I am going to make my base panel for this card.
The next step was to apply the panel die cut to the black die cut. . . I actually ended up cutting the die out of the black paper one more time to give it enough height.

I cut by black base panel, added my embossed resit panel and adhered it to my card base.
Then I placed my stacked XOXO into the space on the card base. The pieces of the O's that would have been removed did not get any layers behind it and I think that really helped it to stand out better.

I cut a banner from black paper and used the same pearl embossing powder for the sentiment and added it to my card right under my XOXO.

We Blend Well Together

We Blend Well Together

I love how this card turned out.
It is nothing special except that I was able to figure out how to have my ScanNCut2 cut out the inside of the blender so I could make it a shaker, so personal victory!

First I colored my images using Prismacolor colored pencils.I knew I wanted to make this have a shaker part in the blender but I am horrible at cutting things by hand! I used my ScanNCut2 to cut the inside of the blender out. . . Long Story, LOL!

Since I was making a shaker card i didn't want to cut out the blender so I used a larger circle die to get a great shaker shape. I used the same die to put my shaker window and my shaker backing. I then put my shaker piece together.

I cut and layered my base panels and also cut a banner for my sentiment and used a matching ink color. I added some hearts to the front of my shaker and my banner. I attached my shaker and my banner to my card then added my little bag of frozen berries.

Sorry I'm Slow

Sorry I'm Slow

I used Lawn Fawn Year Two set for this card. I stamped the turtle then gave him the hat and present. I colored everything with Prismacolor colored pencils. I used a wink of Stella pen on the hat and on part of his shell to add a little sparkle to this card.

For this card I was going for CAS. . . So hard for me to do, I always wanna fill up the white space and put enamel dots everywhere!!!  I decided to use a patterned paper as a frame around my image to get rid of the white space but still keep is CAS.

You're A Rock Star

You're A Rock Star

I used a stamp set from Strawberry Jude Stamps, Rockin' with Monkey and Rhino.

I started this card by cutting all my layers. Even though I think this stamp is geared towards boys, I think that using pink makes this a perfect card for a little girl! I love this color combo together!

I stamped my images on watercolor paper and colored them using Mission Gold watercolors. Used my Scan n Cut to cut the images out. I added some wink of Stella to the rock candy and coated them in glossy accents so they are all nice and shiny.

I layered up my base panels and adhered them to my card base. I opted to got horizontal for this card. I used foam tape to attach my images since I had so many flat layers.

I finished the card with some glitter enamel dots. I usually keep the inside of my card blank but I added a sentiment to this one since I did not put it on the outside.

Breathe

Breathe

I used a stitched rectangle die on watercolor paper for my base panel since I want to watercolor my feathers. I stamped the image with my mini Misti so that I could get a really good dark image.

I used blue for my feathers and added a few stamped splotches from the stamp set.
I also added some watercolor flecks.

I added some second generation stamping of the star and moon from the set.
I wanted them to be on the card but didn't really want them to very prominent.

That's it!

After it dried I attached the panel to a standard card base.

You're a Rock Star - Purple

You're a Rock Star!

I cut my base panel from this purple plaid and decided to use a banner die for my top panel.

I stamped the sentiment at the top and tied some silver and white twine around the top.
I used foam tape to adhere it the the base panel.

I stamped my rhino on water color paper and colored it with watercolors. I used the Scan n Cut to cut it out. Since I have it on both panels I also used foam tape so that it would be the correct height.

After I adhered my panels to my card base I added a few matching enamel dots.

Happy Birthday Rock Star

Happy Birthday Rock Star

This was a super quick card since I already had my image and most of my panels were already cut.
I like to color extra images so that I have them to quickly add to a card. . . .

I already had this black and white panel cut so I choose a patterned paper that was going to match my image and die cut it for my base panel.

I added some distress ink splatters in Fossilized Amber and Mermaid Lagoon to my white panel.

Then I added my pre-colored image and a sentiment.

I attached all my layers together and put them on a standard card base.

Super quick!

We are having a moving sale and all stock is on sale!
25% off!
There is also a free Follow the Star stamp with purchases over $65.00!

Thinking of You - Foiled Feathers

Thinking of you

I really wanted to try out foiling in my cards but I do not have a Minc machine.

I searched YouTube and found a technique that I think is going to work pretty well for me.
It does require a laminator, but I already had one that I bought at Walmart for $10.00.
The only thing I had to buy for this was the Deco Foil!

So I decide to use the Dream Big set.

I stamped the two feathers using VersaMark and clear heat embossed them.

I cut my DecoFoil to size. Next step is to run the embossed image and the DecoFoil through the laminator. The heat remelts the embossing powder letting the DecoFoil adhere to it. I ran it though 3 times to make sure it adhered well.

Ta-da! It is super easy and I love how it looks!

Next I added my sentiment from the Couples Sentiments set and a few splotches from the Dream Big set.

I added a few sequins, they are clear but kind of have a slight white/silver coating on them. . . I don't know how to explain it. . .

I love how this card turned out! I love the foiling, it a great addition to my card!
