It's Your Birthday Mermaid Shaker - Doodles Paper Playgrounds

It's Your Birthday

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

My niece turns 10 this month and she loves mermaids so
I wanted to make her a mermaid shaker birthday card.

I die cut my top panel from some patterned paper and
also die cut the shaker window.
I stamped the sentiment with some matching purple ink.

Obviously had to go with mermaids,
I stamped then colored with copic markers to match the sequins.

I added the acetate to the back of the panel.
I dug though my little drawer of pre-colored images for a few more things
to put on the front. I found a fish and some seaweed that worked out great.
I also stamped some purple bubbles.

I had an extra mermaid so I added the cut out from the front panel to the inside, added the mermaid and then stamped the sentiment in matching purple.

I added a single layer of foam tape, I wanted this shaker to be
low profile so that I could easily send it in the mail.
I laid out my sequins and placed the top panel.

I love how it turned out!

For this shaker I used the Juniper Berries Sparkle Blend from Doodle Paper Playground.

I love the glitter sequins in this blend.

Life Is Sweet - HeartCraft Paper

 Life is Sweet

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

For this card I used this cupcake image from HeartCraft Paper.

I printed my image out, colored it with copic markers and fussy cut it out.

I die cut a background from some patterned paper that looked like sprinkles
and use this sentiment stamp from Sweet Stamp Shop.

I attached the panel to my card base and attached the
cupcake with a single layer of foam tape.
I also added some glitter enamel dots and
some stickles to the cupcake.

I love that this image is so versatile!
You can make your cupcake any flavor!

I used Strawberry Jude Stamps layering Holly Jolly set.
These leaves had 5 layers.
On the ones on the right I used 5 different colors.
On the ones on the left, I used clear heat embossing to create the last highlight.
I did about 8 pairs of leaves and 5 sets of holly berries.

I die cut my base panel and my shaker window frame.

I white heat embossed my sentiment so it would pop against the black background.

I attached my base panel to a top folding card base.

I used a double layer of foam tape on my shaker frame.
I measured out my sequins and placed the shaker frame.

I added my holly leaves and berries.
I also added some sequins around my sentiment just to tie it all together.

I had quite a few holly leaves still left so I put together this card, using the leafs to make a wreath and used some of the glitter sequins to decorate it!

For this shaker I used the January Garnet Birthstone Sparkle Blend collection
from Doodle Paper Playground.

Valentine Angel - HeartCraft Paper

Valentine Angel

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

This month I am guest designing over at HeartCraft Paper.
This image is from the December release, isn't it adorable!?!

I started by printing out my image and die cutting
it with a stitched rectangle die.

I colored the image in with Copic markers and use glitter pens on the hearts.
I used a wink of Stella on the wings because you can't
have an angel with plain wings!

I die cut a sparkly background and adhered it to my card base.

I place my colored image panel onto my card. . .

I added this love that I die cut from the same background paper and added a few glitter enamel dots at the top of the card to balance out the hearts.

HeartCraft Paper has super cute images, SVG files and also

Happy Holidays Shaker Ornament - Doodles paper Playground

Happy Holidays

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I used Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow stamp set and shaker add on dies
for this project.

I stamped and die cut the base and the snow globe frame.
I used a piece of patterned paper that had little grey snow flakes on it.

Then I added the snowmen.
These little guys are so cute!

I added color to the snowmen and the globe base with copic markers

I added the acetate and a double layer of foam tape to the frame,
measured my sequins out and I put the frame in place.

I die cut a second base to put on the back.
This hides the ink that bled through from coloring and also
gives a place to attach the string.

I had originally had a different idea for the sentiment on this but then
I decided I wanted to put it on the globe base.
I stamped it in regular black ink.

For this shaker I used the Icicle Sparkle Blend from Doodle Paper Playground.

I love the glitter sequins in this blend.

Snapping Good Time - HeartCraft Paper

Snapping Good Time

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Here is another card I made with this cute gingerbread man!
He is perfect for Christmas cards!

I printed out the image and sentiment and die cut
it to fit on the inside of the card.
I colored it with copic markers and added red and green stickles then let it dry.

For the front I stamped a sentiment on a die cut banner.

I created a window in my card base and base panel so
that the gingerbread man would be visible.

I added a base panel to the inside of the card as well so
there wasn't empty space around my panel.

I added the stamped banner to the front and also added
some glitter enamel dots.

Here is the inside. . . I love how it turned out!
