I used Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol to color him in. I used a banner die from Craftin Desert Divas to cut the image out. I used mercury stickles on the horn and added a sentiment from Lawn Fawns Loveable Legends. .  .and I can't finish a card without some glitter enamel dots!

Christmas Series - Sending Warm Wishes - January

Sending Warm Wishes!

Hello!

I have decided that this year I was going to try to do my Christmas cards through out the year. I sent a lot less cards than I wanted to because I waited till the last minute and just couldn't make enough cards.

So for 2017 I am going to be doing a set of Christmas Cards on the last weekend of each month. . . So far so good! LOL!

In my card for January I used Craftin Desert Divas stamp set Prickly and Lawn Fawns Hats Off to You and Merry Messages.

I die cut the base panel from the LF sticheched Rectangle dies and cut the oval focal point from LF stitched oval dies. Next I stamped the santa hat, colored with Copic markers and die cut them out.
I cut strips of green paper at an inch wide and then cut them in half to get a 1x6 strip of paper.

Time for the Cactus! I stamped my cactus on the oval piece and then used Prismacolor colored pencil and gamsol to color them in.

Time to assemble!

I started by adding the green strip of paper to the rectangle base. Next I stamped the sentiment from the LF Merry Messages set using LF Noble Fir ink.

I ran all of my ovals and all of my hats through my Xyron sticker makers to make it easier to put together.  I put the santa hat on the cactus then put the oval on the base panel.

I wanted to add a little something to the santa hats so I used a snow marker to create a little puffyness on the hats. To finish off the cards I added a few glittered sprinkles from My Next Stamp.

I really like this card, although I think this one kinda took awhile. I didn't think I would be as labor intensive at it turned out to be. Next time I will try to make it a little easier, or I will do less cards if it ends up having lots of elements to it.

Thank you so much for checking out my post!

Hello

 Hello

I made this card using the heart hot air balloon digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.

I started with a purple base panel to go with the color scheme of the monthly challenge. I then added a white layer that I ran through my cuttlebug in a cloud embossing folder. I die cut both of these panels using Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame Die set. I put a little bit of purple on the embossed clouds to help them stand out a bit.

I printed it out on some Nennah card stock and colored in the heart with distress inks. I masked off the heart and used a sponge dauber and a mini blending tool to add the colors to the heart. I also added some flecks of watered down white acrylic paint. I colored the basket with copic markers. I cut it out and used pop dots to put it on the card base.

I found a small sentiment from Sweet Stamp Shop Nod to Mod set and stamped it in the same purple distress ink and I finished my card off with a few glittered enamel dots from Your Next Stamp.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Best Fishes

Have An Unbelievable Birthday!

I love this card!

I followed a tutorial on YouTube : Twist and Pop Tutorial

I made the card first, without really having any plans for it, i just wanted to try this technique!

After completing it I knew I had quite a few already colored Lawn Fawn fishy things so I figured I would turn it into a late birthday card for my niece.
I used Lawn Fawn Card stock and patterned paper as well.

I can not wait to make some more of these cards!

What can I say?

You're Just a Little Cooler!

This is one of my favorite stamps!

I die cut my base panels using Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies. The cooler and sentiment are from the Sweet Stamp Shop Little cooler set. I also used the matching die set to cut my cooler out.
I stamped the cooler on a light grey paper and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils and gamsol. I liked putting it on grey paper so that I could color the white portion instead of just leaving it blank, what I would have done if I had stamped it on white paper.
I finished off the card with some glitter enamel dots.

I just think this little cooler is super cute, not to mention cool!

All You Need is Love. . .

All You Need is Love . . . . . and Cookies!

I am sooo happy with how this card turned out!

Ok, So this card started with these cookies! They are a 6 layer stamp from Strawberry Jude Stamps called Cookie Layers. I love that they look so great! I used my mini misti and stamped up about 8 sets of these since I had everything out and lined up, really didn't take to long and now I have cookies ready to go!!!

Next I die cut my base panel using Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangles. I placed my cookies in the corner so that I could figure out where I wanted my other stamps.  From the Love is in The Air set, I put the word Love right in the middle and colored it in using Copic markers, #s R22, R24 and R29. The little heart cluster is also from this set. I used the word cookies from the same Cookie Layers stamp set.

For the rest of the sentiment I cut so gold glitter adhesive vinyl with my Silhouette Portrait. I do this a lot because it makes it really easy to place the sentiment and you don't have to worry about gluing each letter separately, you can just lay it all down at once!

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM

I found this Mama Elephant set on a de-stash and grabbed it up quick!

I started my card with a plain white base panel and a colorful 2nd panel die cut using Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies. I triple stamped the sentiment from the set on a oval die cut, also Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the monster guy and colored with peerless watercolors and die cut him out. I attached him to the card with a piece of foam tape and finished my card with a few enamel dots.
I love those things so much!
