Merry Christmas Santa

Merry Christmas Santa

I needed to make a larger card because I send my sons school picture out at Christmas and his grand parents get a 5x7

My dies don't work with a 5x7 so I had to trim my base panel with my paper cutter but was able to use my oval die for my top panel.

I stamped this Santa from Strawberry Jude Stamps Note It: Letter to Santa. I colored the image with Zig Clean Color markers and put a little wink of Stella on the white part of his hat.

Then I use a sentiment from Tag It: Christmas.
That was it!

Very quick and easy card!

Follow the Star Shaker Card

 Follow the Star Shaker Card

I used two of Strawberry Jude Stamps December freebies on this card.
The camel is a digi stamp that was sent out to people on the mailing list and the Follow the Star stamp is a freebie with any purchase in December. . . .

We will be sending the images again tomorrow!
You can join the mailing list here at the bottom of the page.

I printed the camel digi and colored it using PrismaColor colored pencils and gamsol.

Then I cut out my panels. . . I didn't intend to make this a shaker card but once I die cut the oval out of my top layer I had to make it a shaker!

On my base layer I stamped with Versamark ink and white heat embossed.

I attached my top layer to my shaker window, placed a double layer of foam tape
(so there is plenty of room to more around!)
then added assortment of brown sequins and a few seed beads.

I removed the protective layer from the foam tape and carefully placed my base layer to seal in all my shaker goodies!!

Once everything was pressed down real well I used some score tape to attach my shaker to a card base.

That was it!
Super easy and super fun to make!

Merry Christmas Ornament

Merry Christmas Ornament

It was pretty simple and I think it turned out pretty good!

I used Strawberry Jude Stamps Don't Forget Christmas and Tag it: Christmas on this project.

I got these tiles from Home Depot, they are attached to a mesh but you just peel them off.

I was going to use Stazon Ink for this, However my ink pad was pretty dry, and I couldn't find my remover and it's bad for your stamps anyways, so I figured I would just heat emboss!

I patted my tile with the powder bag then I used Versafine to stamp my sentiment. I sprinkled it with the embossing powder right away. I did have a little stick to places other than the ink but I blew on it and it went away, a forceful blow, kinda like you are spitting but no spit! LOL!

Then I applied the heat. . . it took a while. . . . and the tile was HOT!!!! So be careful!!!

I also had to wait for the tile to cool down before I could do the present,
I didn't want my embossing powder to melt all over the tile!

Here is is all nice and shiny!

I colored it with my Copics but you could use sharpies also!

I use these silver bails to make them hang-able, I use a little bit of this E6000. . . it is pretty stinky but I set them outside or down in my empty basement to dry overnight. . . . I think you can use hot glue or any other strong adhesive.

That's it! You could put anything on this!
I also do some that I glue a magnet to the back to put it on my fridge!

Thank you guys for stopping by!

See you next time!

Christmas Gift Tag

Christmas Gift Tag

I used two sets from Strawberry Jude Stamps to create this Christmas gift tag.

I stamped the frame on watercolor paper and clear heat embossed it.

I colored it with watercolors and then cut the tag out.

I added the Merry and Bright from the Tag it set and then did a little stamp surgery to get My Love from the Couples Sentiments set. I stamped them in green to match the tag.  I added a bit of holly on the side. Since this is for my significant other, and he is not that into glitter (Why, I have no idea.. . ) I just added a little bit of stickles on the holly.

I punched a hole on the side and use some white and silver twine.

Perfect to tie to his present this year!

Merry Christmas Reindeer

Merry Christmas Reindeer

I am still working on getting Christmas cards made. . . .

I started with cutting all my panels out for the cards. I used the stitched rectangle dies from
Lawn Fawn.
For my base I used a glitter plaid and my next panel is a tone on tone green that
matches the green in the plaid.

My top panel is watercolor paper.

I used my mini Misti stamping tool to stamp my image on my watercolor panel. I used Versafine for the reindeer head and wanted to stamp my sentiment in color so I chose Distress Ink Peeled Paint to go with the green in my background.

I used Strawberry Jude Stamps Letter to Santa and Tag It: Christmas

I colored the reindeer head using two shades of brown Clean Color Zig Markers, I used a third lighter brown to blend it all together. I was going to use my water brush but this light brown did a great job. I use a glaze pen on the nose. . . I made 4 of these cards and after doing three of them with black noses I realized they should be Rudolf! I gave my last one a red nose. . . .

Time to assemble!

I put my layers together and adhered them to my card base.

Since the back ground has glitter on it
I decided to use some wood veneer stars and some red sequins.

These cards turned out perfectly, and I am glad I finally got to use these stars!

I'm All Ears

I'm all Ears

So I decided to try out the Corn Cob Layers set from Strawberry Jude Stamps.
I used yellow inks from Lawn Fawn and distress inks.

I cut out the corn cobs to put them on a card front.

I die cut my base panels, one from a argyle pattern paper and my next panel is yellow that has a word grain embossed into it.

I cut a banner and white heat embossed the sentiment "I'm All Ears" from the Corn Cob layers set.

I outlined the corn cobs with some gathered twigs distress inks so that they don't get lost on the yellow back ground and added some brown glitter enamel dots.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

I really liked how this card turned out!

I die cut my base panel with a stitched rectangle die and then used this die that has three stitched squares to make little windows.

I stamped my sentiment and three little thanksgiving icons on my window cut outs and card front..

I decided that I wanted my little square cutouts to be recessed on the card front so I used some foam tape to pop up the main part of the panel.

I cut my panel from watercolor paper so I colored my little icons with some Zig clean color markers and a water brush.

I also decided that I wanted a color wash on the front of my panel to help the recessed squares stand out a little bit more. I used Mission Gold watercolors to add an orange and yellow wash to the top portion of my card.

I attached the panel to my card base and added the decorated squares.

I finished off the card with some orange sequins and also traced the stitching with a white pen to make it stand out a little better.

I like how festive this card looks!
