January Monthly Layout

January Monthly Layout

Here is my January monthly layout using Strawberry Jude Stamps  new printable planner called the Stampers Planner.

I use my monthly view just as a place to keep track of things so that I don't miss them on my weekly view. Things like birthdays, paydays, appointments, days that my son has no school and other meeting that I have during the month.

I started by adding some colorful washi, to the top and side, also on the empty day boxes in the calendar. I choose to do a pink and orange theme.

Since it is the time for year for those new resolutions I thought it would be a great idea to track my weight on my monthly view, I decided to use the scale from the Don't Forget to Workout set on the first day and last day to just be able to see it at a glance.

I usually just put decorative stickers on my side bar, but I think I might full the bottom with some monthly goals. . . . not quite sure yet.

I enjoyed using this layout,
I will have to think of more things to put on my monthly view to fill it up a bit!

Here is a closer look at the spread. . . .

Planner Binder Cover

Hello!

So for 2017 I will be trying out the print at home planner by Strawberry Jude Stamps. I was already wanting to create my own planner that was regular paper size so this was perfect timing for me!

I wanted more space and I wanted thicker paper so that I would be able to use all my colored inks and not worry about bleed through.

I got a regular 3 ring binder from Walmart to hold my pages but it was just plan old white. . . . So I decided to cover it up!

I got some fabric and cut a piece to be a little bit bigger all the way around.

I covered the outside of the binder with modge podge and placed it on the fabric, I flipped the binder over and made sure that the fabric was smooth on both sides....

I spread the modge podge along the inner edge to fold the fabric over and have it hold on the inside cover. . . . .

I did trim the corners so there wouldn't be so much bulk. . . .

Here it is all folded and glued. . . .
I laminated a few sheets of paper to place on the inside of the covers.

This was really quick and now I have something cute to hold my planner pages!

I have been asked to be a guest designer for Strawberry Jude Stamps so make sure you come back and check in to see the Strawberry Stamper's Planner in action!

Happy Holidays - Reindeer

Happy Holidays

I cut my base panel and my happy holidays tag with Lawn Fawn Stiched Rectangle dies and used Craftin Desert Divas Stiched in Circles die for my circle, I put the die of the edge of the paper so that I could get a flat side.

I stamped my image on the circle and colored it with Wink of Stella glitter pens and a little glaze pen on the nose. I also used a white ink pen on the scarf.

I used a sentiment from Sweet Stamp Shop Holiday pup set, it fit perfectly in my little rectangle!

I finished off my card with some Your Next Stamp glittered enamel dots, , , I love them!

This card turned out really great and it was pretty simple to do.

Merry Chirstmas

Merry Christmas

I made this card by starting with my base panel cut from watercolor paper. I did some ink smooshing using some distress inks, it is still not my favorite technique but I am working on it! I also spritz the card with some perfect pearl water.

I used my cricut and cut out this photo frame to put over the ink smooshing. . .

I used a Lawn Fawn die for the merry christmas from a sticky backed red glitter paper.

Super simple and I like how this turned out. . . . I might try one in red!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I started by making a card base and die cutting the circle window.

I used the sentiment from Winter Alpaca and stamped it in LF Lobster Ink. I used LF Joy to the Woods for the ornaments on the front of the card and colored the ornaments with Wink of Stella fine glitter dust pens and added a few glitter enamel dots.

Then I used Lawn Fawn Winter Alpaca and stamped the Alpaca in the middle of the circle. I colored the image with prismacolor colored pencils. I added a few white highlights to the scarf with a white gel pen. I used the rest of the Alpaca sentiment and the Merry Christmas is also from the Joy to the Woods set.

Let It Snow Shaker Card

Let It Snow

I used Lawn Fawn stiched hillside borders to make the back ground hill and put a little distress ink for some color. The deer is Sweet Stamp Shop Oh Deer, colored with Copic markers and die cut. The tree is from Lawn Fawn Happy Trails, also colored with copic markers and die cut.

I decided to make this a shaker card so I cut a panel and then die cut the window, I used two layers of foam tape so my shaker pieces wouldn't get stuck on each other and I used a mix of Little Things from Lucy - Diamond Ring and Falling Snow. I also added a few sequins to the front of the card.

I used LF winter scripty saysing for my sentiment, I stamped it in the same blue I used on the background.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

I used Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies to cut my base panels from Lawn Fawn card stock. My top panel is watercolor paper. I did white heat embossing on this panel using Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamps - Gifts of Love and Cute Snowflakes.

I used distress ink on the panel for some color and misted it with perfect pearl water for a little shimmer. I also added a few sequins and a couple dots of stickles for some sparkle.

Warm Wishes

Warm Wishes

I started with a red base panel and made my second panel green, cuz let's face it, I am WAY behind on christmas cards. . .

I used a YNS die to cut out the white circles and used YNS Word Critters - Winter Birds to stamp in the circles. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color markers. I got a snow marker last year and thought I would use it on the birds hat. It is kinda like a glue marker, but you use a heat tool and the liquid puffs up giving this really great effect. . . I am going to try to use it on some more Christmas cards this year. . . .

I used a sentiment form the same stamp set and heat embossed it in white and I had to add some YNS enamel dots to finish it off.

Craftin Desert Divas - Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello, Happy Tuesday!!

Thanks for stopping by the Craftin Desert Divas blog today!

I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today.

I used the digi image Lil' Gobbler, free for the November Mood Board Social Media Challenge, you can request it on the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery Facebook page

I printed the digi image on some heavy weight paper and colored it with prismacolor colored pencil and used gamsol to blend out the color. If you have never used that stuff it is awesome!!!! I used black glaze pen on the hat, a gold Winks of Stella pen on the buckle, and added some white highlight to the tips of the feathers.

I started with a base panel of orange paper and used a circle die from Stiched in circle die set. I off set the die just a little and then placed my turkey in the middle.

For my sentiment I used the thanks die from the Greeting Word Die Set. I die cut it on watercolor paper, colored it with red, orange and yellow Zig Clean color markers and then sprayed it with some perfect pearl water to get all the colors to blend together. The perfect pearl water wasn't enough sparkle for me so I also put a coat of Winks of stella glitter brush pen on it.

I finished off the card with some doodlebug glitter enamel dots, because I really can't make a card without them! I love them sooo much!
